Terms of Service

Tickets and Entry

• A ticket admits one person for the date shown and is valid only with the code sent to you by email.
• Wristbands are non-transferable once scanned. A wristband that has been tampered with or removed may be refused.
• We may refuse entry, or ask someone to leave, for unsafe or abusive behaviour. No refund is given in that case.
• Bags may be checked at the gate. Weapons, illegal substances and outside alcohol are not permitted.

Changes, Cancellation and Refunds

• The programme, performers and schedule may change. A change to the line-up is not on its own grounds for a refund.
• The festival takes place rain or shine. If we cancel the event entirely, we will publish how refunds will be handled on this website.
• Ticket payments are processed by an external payment provider; their own terms apply to the transaction itself.

Voting

• Voting is open to ticketed attendees and wristband holders during the voting window announced at the event.
• One vote per person per category. Attempting to vote more than once, or using someone else’s code or wristband, may void your votes.
• Votes may be changed at any time until the voting window closes; the last vote cast per category counts.
• Final scores combine a judges’ panel and public votes. Results announced at the closing ceremony are final.

What You Submit

• When you upload a photo, artwork or a Community Altar portrait, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
• You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to display it in connection with the festival — on this site, on the altar screen, and in festival promotion.
• We review submissions before publishing and may decline anything unlawful, hateful or unsuitable for a family event.
• You can ask us to remove your submission at any time.

Photography at the Event

The festival is a public event and may be photographed and filmed. By attending, you accept that you may appear in general crowd photography used to document and promote the festival. If you appear in an image and would like it removed, contact us and we will do so.

Conduct

DODFest honours our ancestors and celebrates our community. Harassment, discrimination and abusive behaviour toward attendees, artists, vendors, volunteers or staff are not tolerated, and may result in removal without refund.

Minors

Attendees under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Registration and submissions on this website are intended to be completed by an adult.

Risk and Liability

Attending an outdoor public event carries inherent risks, including uneven ground, weather, crowds and loud sound. You attend at your own risk and are responsible for your own belongings.

Nothing in these terms removes any right you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Website Use

• Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass rate limits, or access administrative areas you are not authorised to use.
• Festival names, logos and artwork belong to their respective owners and may not be reused commercially without permission.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
